Texas: Tell Congress to help veterans and patients!
Congress has one month to make a plan for the federal budget, and we need your help to make sure that it includes language that protects state medical marijuana programs from federal interference and allows doctors with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs to discuss medical marijuana with their patients. If it doesn’t, the Department of Justice will once again be able to arrest state-legal patients and providers, and veterans will continue to have their treatment options limited.
Contact your lawmakers TODAY, and urge them to defend state medical marijuana programs and improve access for veterans!
You can use the tools below to automatically contact your federal representative and Rep. John Culberson (R-Houston), who sits on the committee that will make the final determination of what goes in the budget. You can also contact Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Dallas), who prevented these amendments from being included in the House version of the budget.
Feel free to use the text provided, or include a message of your own politely asking them to support medical marijuana.
